Magic or as some prefer to call it, Magick spells have been performed through out history by virtually every society and culture in one form or another. Like so many things in this world, magic spells are neither good or bad on their own, like any other tool, it is the user, the person performing the magic that makes it good or bad.

Magic takes many forms and is practiced under many names. Spells, Spellwork, love spells, black magic, white magic, candle magic, money spells, and even prayer are all forms of magic spells.

Many people consider magic to be a religious or spiritual experience, and it can be if you want it to be. At the same time however, magic does not require a belief in any god or goddess for it to work.

Magic spells are not good or bad on their own. It is the intent of the practitioner that determines whether they are evil or not. Some overly zealous religions would have you believe anything dealing with magic is demonic, yet the truth of the matter is prayers from every religion on earth are a form of magic. The partaking of the bread and wine, symbolizing the blood and the body of the Christ is a form of magic.

Many people tend to use color names to mark various types of magic spells as good or bad. Black magic is usually considered bad and white magic is usually considered good. But magic spells are just as diverse as the people that perform them and what many people consider black magic is often consdered necessary magic by other cultures or groups.

Many people wrongly assume magic to be a religious act, however common sense tells us if magic required a belief in a particular religion, magic would only work for followers of that particular religion.

Yet magic works for any one that believes magic works, without regard to whether you believe in a particular god. Magic works for atheist the same way magic works for pagans and the same way magic works for christians and the same way magic works for followers of every other religion on earth.

In the performance of the act of magic, it is acceptable to call upon a god or goddess of your choice, but even that is not required for magic to work. Spells can be extremely success while leaving all aspects for a god or goddess out of the act.

This web site is about magic. It is not about religion. Everyone, from all religions and even those that do not claim a religion are welcome here. There can and probably will be discussion regarding various aspects of religion and all thoughts are welcome, however, preaching or attempting to convert others is not welcome here.

There are other web sites that will gladly allow you to talk about those things all you want. But please understand this web site is about magic, not religion.
